Kuroko no Basuke x Halloween Event

Kuroko no Basuke fans gets a special treat this Halloween season. Starting on October 3- November 3, 2014 the monthlong KuroBas halloween festival will be LIVE in J-WORLD Theme park in Sunshine City in Ikebukuro. The theme park offers event which features not only Kuroko no Basuke but also other Shonen Jump Stars such as Naruto, One Piece, Dragonball and Prince of Tennis.
Fans' Favorite Kuroko's Basketball Character

The Weekly Shonen Jump conducted a poll on Kuroko's Basketball character in which over 25,000 fans had participated. As the results come out, Generation Miracle's team captain Seijuro Akashi ranked #1!

Here's the tally of votes:
  • Akashi Seijūrō - 6,276 votes
  • Kuroko Tetsuya - 3,505 votes
  • Takao Kazunari - 2,539 votes
  • Kise Ryōta - 2,392 votes
  • Kagami Taiga - 2,288 votes
  • Midorima Shintarō - 1,983 votes
  • Aomine Daiki - 1,670 votes
  • Miyaji Kiyoshi - 1,472 votes
  • Kasamatsu Yukio - 1,451 votes

Being the #1 fan-favorite character is Akashi's first. Previously, Kuroko got the spot three times with Midorima Shintaro. Aside from that, the series' creator Fujimaki Tadatoshi ranked #19 with 622 votes.

Kuroko's Basketball 41.5 Quarter OVA Announced

A new Kuroko's Basketball OVA will be included in the sixth Blu-ray DVD volume of the show's second season. This episode adapts the original manga's 124th chapter.

Episode 41.5 Quarter will depicts the time when Kuroko and Aomine met. In addition, the sixth Blu-ray/DVD volume contains episodes 40 and 41 and the first print copies will also include a bonus audio drama CD starring Satsuki Momoi.

Kuroko's Basketball 3DS Game Slated for February

It has been announced that the upcoming Nintendo 3DS game inspired by Tadatoshi Fujimaki's basketball manga, Kuroko's Basketball: The Path to Victory, will be slated for February 20th, 2014 release. The game will feature an original story with characters in super deformed style.

Playable characters include Tetsuya Kuroko (Kensho Ono), Taiga Kagami (Yuuki Ono), Tatsuya Himuro (Kishô Taniyama), Makoto Hanamiya (Jun Fukuyama), Ryōta Kise (Ryohei Kimura), Shintarō Midorima (Daisuke Ono), Daiki Aomine (Junichi Suwabe), Atsushi Murasakibara (Kenichi Suzumura) and "Emperor" Seijūrō Akashi (Hiroshi Kamiya).

"Kuroko's Basketball" Anime Season 2 Listed With 26 Episodes

The latest issue of Shonen Jump announces that the upcoming second season of the anime adaptation of Tadatoshi Fujimaki's manga Kuroko's Basketball will be having 26 episodes. This was revealed in the number of episodes planned for each DVD and Blu-Ray release of the anime.

The first DVD and Blu-Ray volume of the anime will two episodes, as well as an outtake collection and liner notes, a special CD featuring Tetsuya Kuroko and two end card illustrations. It will be shipped on January 29th, 2014. Meanwhile, the remaining eight volumes will ship every month with three episodes each.

Latest Kuroko's Basketball Season 2 Key Visual Revealed

Above is the latest key visual for the upcoming second season of the anime adaptation of Tadatoshi Fujimaki's manga Kuroko's Basketball. The anime is scheduled to premiere this October.

Additionally, it had been announced that GRANRODEO will again be lending their song as the anime's opening theme. Entitled “The Other Self”, the single is scheduled for October 16th release. Moreover, the unit's vocalist KISHOW (Kisho Taniyama) will also play Yousen High's Tatsuya Himuro in the new season.

Contradicting the previously revealed airdate by the head of Shueisha's comics, Shonen Jump announces that the upcoming second season of the anime adaptation of the Kuroko's Basketball manga will start airing this October.

Kuroko's Basketball Season 2 to Air this September

Shueisha's head of comics and contents sales department, Nobuo Sumino reported in the May/June issue of The Tsukuru magazine that the upcoming second season of the anime adaptation of the Kuroko's Basketball manga will begin airing this September.

He also added that there is an increase of sales of the manga after the anime premiered. The manga's volumes had initial print runs of 300,000 copies, but it rose to 500,000 after the anime. Between the April rebroadcast and the new season, he muses that the next volume of the original manga could have a print run of more than 1 million copies in August.
