The latest issue of Young Animal magazine announces that dark fantasy manga Berserk will resume after author Kentarou Miura's six-chapter manga mini-series, Gigant Makia.
Gigant Makia is a six-chapter mini-series set in a world 100 million years in the future, and it will begin with a 44-page chapter with a color opening page. Similar to Berserk , it will be serialized on Young Animal magazine.
Berserk's setting is inspired by medieval Europe. It centers around the life of Guts, an orphaned mercenary warrior, and Griffith, the leader of a mercenary band called the Band of the Hawks. As he ages, Guts changes from a solitary boy into a man who realizes the value of camaraderie.

The 25-year-old Makoto Fujino, who was previously arrested for the suspicion of scanning and uploading scans of Eiichiro Oda's pirate adventure manga One Piece, had pleaded guilty to the charges against him by copyright holders and Shueisha.
According to the authorities, book-digitizing businessman scanned and uploaded the first 10 volumes of One Piece on December 14th, 2012, and the first 10 volumes of Berserk and February 20th, 2013, and offer these as a limited service for people who joined his website, which had been closed since then.
Included in his violation are volumes 1 through 45 of Hideaki Sorachi's Gintama manga and burning them on a DVD-R, which was sold for 10,000 yen.

A 25-year-old man was arrested by the Nagasaki police for on suspicion of scanning books and uploading their scans onto a server for others to download. The man allegedly uploaded scans of Eiichiro Oda's pirate adventure manga One Piece.
According to the authorities, book-digitizing businessman Makoto Fujino scanned and uploaded the first 10 volumes of One Piece on December 14th, 2012, and the first 10 volumes of Berserk and February 20th, 2013. Allegedly, he offer these as a limited service for people who joined his website. Download links were sent directly to the recipient's email.
Fujino was previously arrested for scanning various manga including volumes 1 through 45 of Hideaki Sorachi's Gintama manga and burning them on a DVD-R. The DVD-Rs then will be sold through a website called "50SCANNER." According to the authorities, the said DVD-R was sold for 10,000 yen.

Here is the first television commercial for the upcoming third film of the Berserk movie trilogy, “Berserk Golden Age Arc III: Descent”. The film was rated R18+ by Japan's EIRIN.
Berserk Golden Age Arc III: Descent focus around the final events of the Golden Age Arc. With the God Hand already awoken and to become one of them, Griffith must use the solar eclipse that only occurs once every 216 years, and sacrifice all of his friends.
It will premiere in Japanese theaters on February 1st.
