The full trailer for the new anime series directed by Shinichiro Watanabe (Macross Plus, Cowboy Bebop) at animation studio BONES, SPACE☆DANDY, was released last Monday. The trailer features a few seconds of voice work from the cast lead by Junichi Suwabe as Dandy.
The story centers around the titular character, Dandy, an alien-hunter. His job is to seek out new alien beings never seen before. Dandy then receives a reward whenever he finds a new species. His mission is to find those new species faster than anyone else! He travels around the galaxy together with the robot QT and the alien Meow he picked up along the way.
SPACE☆DANDY will premiere worldwide simultaneously on January 4th.
Toonami had released the second teaser for the new anime series directed by Shinichiro Watanabe (Macross Plus, Cowboy Bebop) at animation studio BONES, SPACE☆DANDY. Adult Swim viewers will also get a chance to watch the anime ahead of its Japan premiere!

This includes Unshou Ishizuka as Dr. Geru, a brilliant scientist pursuing Dandy; Kosuke Hatakeyama as Bee, a cucumber-like assistant of Dr. Geru from the planet Pylori; Banjou Ginga as Commodore Perry; Yurin as Honey, a waitress at the Boobies restaurant; and, Houko Kuwashima as the beautiful inspector at the space alien registration center, Scarlett.

The main cast for the new anime series directed by Shinichiro Watanabe (Macross Plus, Cowboy Bebop) at animation studio BONES, SPACE☆DANDY, had been revealed. Taking the titular role is Junichi Suwabe, the voice behind Kuroko's Basketball's Daiki Aomine.
Idol group 9nine's Uki Satake tales the role of the vacuum cleaner robot QT, and Hiroyuki Yoshino, the voice behind Gundam 00's Allelujah Haptism, is the dimwit alien Meow. The narration will be handled by Masaaki Yajima (Mega Monster Battle: Ultra Galaxy's narrator).

Working as a alien-hunter is the human named Dandy. Although his age is unknown, he is most likely in his late 20s. He does not care about little things, and believes that his dream is somewhere in the world.
QT is a vacuum cleaner robot, and believes that he is high-power. But actually, he is just a bucket of bolts. He's very serious and got a little big pride. He wanted the place to be always clean.
Meow is a dimwit alien. Although many thinks that he is a genetically advanced cat, he's actually an alien that lives on the star Betelgeuse. Meow is very carefree, as if he were raised with no constraints. Unlike a normal cat, he knows how to use a cellphone.
Space Dandy will premiere this January 2014. Singer-songwriter Yasuyuki Okamura (City Hunter 2) will perform the series' theme songs "Viva Namida" and "Healthy Merci."
